           On the sixth day of Dec, AD 1862,personally appeared before the subscriber, a Justice of thePeace within and for the County of Centre, PA, CatherineWenrick, a resident of Centre County, State of PA, age 69years, who being first duley sworn, according to the law,doth on her make the following declaration, in order toobtain the benifits of the provisions made by the Act ofcongress approved 11 Jul 1862; that she widow of JohnWenrick, late of Centre County, deceased, and motherof  Wm Wenrick, who was a private in Company G,Commander by Capt Wm H Blaire, in the 51st Reg. of PA, Vol,in the year of AD 1861, that he said son died at theCitzens Volunteer Hospital, Phidelphia, on the 25th of Nov1862, of diarrhea, contacted while in the serviceof theUnited States as appear by a letter dated 26th Nov 1862,Phildelphia from (?) of said Hospital to the declaration.She further declares that her dead son, upon whom she waswholly or in part dependent for support, having left nowidow or a minor child under sixteen years of agesurviving, declarante makes this declaration andapplication for a pension under the above mentioned act,and refers to the evidence filed herewith, and that in theproper department, to establish her claim. She alsodeclares that she has not in any way been engaged in oraided or abetted the rebellion in the United States; thatshe is not in receipt of a pension under 2nd Section of theact above mentioned or under any other act, not has sheagain married since the death of her son, the said WilliamWenrich and I do hereby (?) and appoint George(?), my trueand lawful Attorney to receive the same when allowed.Catherine (her mark) Wenrick.
