As stated briefly in the last issue of the Record Mr.Lytle's untimely death was caused by an explosion ofdynamite; in which a large part of his body was blown fromhim, his head and part of the trunk only being found. Hewent out to blast a stump soon after noon with severalsticks of dynamite and was alone at the time of theexplosion, so that it is not known how the accidenthappened. It is thought that he may have started to examinea charge which had been placed under the stump earlier inthe day and that it exploded unexpectedly.
