  	Dorothy "Dottie" M. Unruh , 89, of South Bend, IN, passedaway at 11:07 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 2006, in HospiceHouse, South Bend. She was born on December 18, 1916, inHartford, MI, to the late Guy and Arebell (Brant) Congdon.On August 9, 1947, in Hartford, MI, she married Ray H.Unruh , who survives. Along with her husband of fifty-nine years, she is survivedby a daughter, Susan K. Sumrall of South Bend; a son andhis wife, Gary and Connie Unruh of South Bend; fourgrandchildren, David Sumrall and his wife Kate, Angela,Drew and Adam Sumrall, all of South Bend; and agreat-granddaughter, Haley Beth Sumrall. She was precededin death by two brothers, Oral and Harry Congdon. Mrs. Unruh moved from Berrien Springs, in 1985, to SouthBend. She was employed for 18 years as a librarian in theBerrien Springs School System. She also served as thelibrarian for Christian Center Day School and World HarvestBible College, of LeSea Ministries. Funeral Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, September 3,2006, at The Linc, 530 E. Ireland Road, South Bend,formerly Christian Center Church. Pastor David Sumrall, hergrandson, and Rev. Ralph Unruh , her nephew, willofficiate. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, SouthBend. Friends may visit with the family from 4 - 6 p.m.Saturday, September 2, in the Palmer Funeral Home-GuisingerChapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, IN, and onehour prior to the services in church. Contributions in memory of Dorothy M. Unruh may be made toThe Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 111Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend, IN 46637.
