	Phillip Lynn Halladay, 65, of Bella Vista, Arkansas diedThursday, August 6, 2015 at Circle of Life Hospice '96Legacy Village surrounded by family. He was born January30, 1950 in Muskegon, Michigan to the late Robert and Iva(Ash) Halladay. Phil was passionate about spreading the Word. Even in hisfinal days, he brought 3 nurses to tears sharing the GoodNews. Earlier in life, he taught Sunday school and itbrought him joy to see classes grow. Phil served as an Armymedic in the Vietnam War and received the Army CommendationMedal for heroism. Having suffered from PTSD, he wasadamant about teaching others to help them understand thedisorder. He loved fishing and bowling, was very athleticin his younger years and loved watching sports as an avidUniversity of Michigan fan. As a retired salesman, he lovedinteracting and making connections with people. Phil was preceded in death by his parents and brother,Robert Halladay. He is survived by his loving wife Alma; son, KristopherBeal of Dayton, OH; daughters, Elizabeth "Bessie" Williams,with husband Josh, of Houston, TX and Janna Pettigrew, withhusband Wes, of Sulphur, OK; brother, David Halladay, withwife Bonnie; sisters, Diane Neibarger and Marsha Stefaniak,with husband George; and 7 grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Bella Vista Lutheran Church, at9:00 a.m. with services at 10:00, August 10, 2015. Theinternment will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the FayettevilleNational Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Bella Vista Funeral Home &Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Arkansas.On-line condolences may be made at www.funeralmation.com
