Hi Russell, I didn't know which email was correct so used them both...hope
you still have one of them. My cousin Mackie or Maxine in Texas suggested
that I email you to see if you might know anything about this riddle I have
discovered. The emails below were initiated by me to Pam Pratt in CAnada.
I think I can explain it a little better now ... I found a George Pratt in
Roxand Twp., Eaton Co. married to Lucetta Codding. They had 2 sons Curtis
and Theodore and a daughter Cora. Also living in Roxand Twp was a
Wellington Pratt with wife Betsey (Elizabeth) and than in the next 10 year
census Wellington has remarried a younger woman and has a dauhter with her.
Lucetta dies and the sons stay in Eaton Co. but George goes back to Osceola
Co and lives between Alonzo and Lucinda Pratt (this is just after Addison
died). George remarries a woman named Flora. I found the newspaper
articles when George died and it confirms is same George from Roxand because
of the info. Pam Pratt sent a census from Canada that included Wellington
Pratt and wife Elizabeth or Betsey and it is no coincidence that George and
Wellington are in Roxand Twp together. I believe that George is the son of
Addison and 1st wife Nancy and that he was 5 yrs old when Nancy died and was
raised by Lucinda 2nd wife. I believe that is why he is back in Osceola Co.
after Addison's death and living close to Lucinda. I have heard you are
doubtful about the connection between the families but I'm not sure at what
point you are skeptical. I'd really like to know what you think and at what
point you think the lines split. I think you'll find the dates in the emails
below but if you have any questions please contact me. I haven't took a
hard look at this for a couple months so a little shakey on dates but I have
it if I need to dig it out.

      Hope to hear from you,
      Sharon Pratt Patton

Hi Russell, I noticed on your websight you have George W. Pratt. He has been of great interest to me as I sent for his death certificate from OSceola Co. and it said his father was Adam Pratt and mother Nancy Wakely. Well I have never heard of an "Adam" so I started looking up census records. George was married to 1st wife Lucetta Codding in Eaton Co. (Roxand Twp) He was in Roxand Twp with Wellington Pratt who in 1870 was with 1st wife Elizabeth nad then in the next census had remarried a younger woman and had daughter Zinnie. I looked in 1900 census in Osceola CO. and George had moved back there and lived between Lucinda Pratt and Alonzo Pratt. Addison
had died and George remarried a woman named Flora. While researching old newspapers I found an article where "C. Pratt went to Reed City for the funeral of his father". In the census George had 2 sons, Curtis and Theodore. Pam Pratt from Canada sent my cousin Mackie a census where Wellinton and wife Betsey (Elizabeth) were on it. I went to the LDS library and saw the microfilm with George's info and the father's name was illegiable..only couild tell it started with an "A" I believe that George was Addison and Nancy's son and that Lucinda raised him and might explain why he moved close to her after Addison's death.
There is a websight if you put in search "Lucetta Pratt Codding" they have a picture of her. My Grandfather William Henry Pratt who was Addison and Lucinda's son would have been George and Wellington's half brother. Willaim Henry was in Roxand Twp in 1888 when his first child Julia Maud was born.

Also just a side point as I feel it is very important to keep family records correct.. Yvonne and Leilani are my adopted sisters. Clinton and Mabelle Pratt had two biological children and that is me, Sharon and Clinton Joseph .

      Thanks for listening.

Oh George also had a daughter named Cora.

Hi everybody. I have some exciting news. I spent 3 hrs at the LDS library
in East Lansing today and this is what I found.

Flora KNAPP married George W. Pratt 20 March 1893 He was 45 yrs. old and
his 2nd marriage (1st was Lucetta Codding) and Flora was 25 her first
marriage. NOW GET THIS: Geo's parents were Adison Pratt and Nancy
Wakely!!!!!!! FLora's parents: Newton Knapp and Lydia HALLADAY
WITNESSES : BILL PRATT and NELLIE PRATT !!!!!!!

Flora (Knapp) Pratt 39y married Albience B. Chase age 65y 14 May 1907

      Flora Knapp Pratt Chase 44y married Delbert PRATT 43y 19-Sept. 1912 :
Delberts parents: Addison Pratt and Lucinda PALMER
      *****************************************************************************
I rechecked George W. Pratt's death record and it is obvious to me now that
they had spelled it ADSINE PRATT and Nancy WAKLEY
      ******************************************************************************

ADelbert and Flora had a child that died 26 March 1912........ but they
didn't get married until September that year.

They also had an adopted child by name of Naoma that died in 1914 at 11 mos
      old.
      *****************************************************************************
Bessie Pratt married at age 16y. a fellow named D. Vail 21 Y. and it said
      "consent was filed"
William Henry Pratt (father) (I forgot to note the date)
      ****************************************************************************

So, I'm satisfied that George W. Pratt who was in Roxand Twp with Wellington
Pratt is Addison and Nancy's son and that Nancy's last name is
Wakely/Wakley as it is on info given by him for marriage and also on his
      death certificate.

But also that Lucinda's (Addison's 2nd wife) maiden name is Palmer as given
      by Adelbert.
      ***********************************************************************
I traced over the name (Adam or Adsin) on George's death record so I could
send it to any who wanted to scrutinize it themself but when I found Geo and
Flora's marriage record it was no longer necessary as far as I was
      concerned.

This has truly been a good day!!!

Sharon (Pratt) Patton - for any who might not remember prior correspondence.
