    E. H. Coon
"Elt. was born at Elgin, Ontario, and after a brilliant career at Athens' High School where he made a name for himself as manager of the hockey team, he came to Queen's. Wisdom and good humour marked his sojourn with us and during his first year, he not only was "hail fellow wellmet" to us all, but gave promise of being a brilliant student. In 1914, however, "Elt." was called to Valcartier and after a year in the "Fifth," he went overseas. For one night only "Coonie" was a preacher on Wolfe Island.
