      Mrs. Elmyra Halliday
        The funeral for Mrs. Elmyra Halliday, 81, Pitcairn native, will be held today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. at Sprague funeral home with the Rev. Stanley E.
      Brown, pastor of United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Hailesboro cemetery.
        Mrs. Halliday, widow of Eugene Halliday, died Sunday at 8:30 a.m. at E. J. Noble Hospital, Gouverneur, where she had been admitted Dec. 7. She
      had suffered from a heart condition for years.
      Surviving Mrs. Halliday are three daughters, Mrs. John (Lula) Elliott, Little Bow,      Mrs. James (Irene) Young, Constableville, and Mrs. Grant (Thelma) O ' Donnell, DePeyster;  three sons, Morris Halliday, Heuvelton, Clyde Halliday, Lakeville, and Leo Halliday, Clinton ; one brother, Allen Streeter, Watertown; two sisters,
      Mrs. Walter Ryan, Watertown, and Mrs. Irena Swem, Rossie; 32 grandchildren; 93 great-grand-children and eight great-great-grandchildren.
        She was bom Nov. 20, 1887, in the town of Pitcairn, a daughter of William and Susan Closs Streeter. She attended school at Pitcairn and was married Sept.
      1, 1903 to Eugene Halliday at Gouverneur.
         The couple operated farms at Ogdensburg, Chaumont and Hammond and retired in 1948. Mr. Halliday died years ago.
        Mrs. Halliday had since resided with her children and most recently had lived with Mrs. O'Donnell where she had spent six weeks.
