  Notes	[v8t1827.FTW] [Brøderbund WFT Vol. 8, Ed. 1, Tree #1827, Date of Import: 21 Oct 2000] Mrs. Thomas Jones The death occurred on Friday evening June 4,1948, at the Coleman Nursing Home, Kemptville, of Margaret Ann Gillan, beloved wife of the late Thomas Jones of Montague. While in failing health for the past year she had been confined to bed for  only a short time. Born at Packenham on June 12,1868 she was the youngest and last surviving member of the family of the late John Gillan and his wife, Frances Shaw and had spent the greater part of her life in this vicinity where her passing is mourned by a wide circle of friends. Her husband predeceased her six years ago. Left to mourn her loss are three sons and three daughters,Wm. John at home, Harry of Brockville, Eldon of Franktown, Mrs. A. Halladay (Gertrude) and Mrs. B.C. McCreary (Mary) Smiths Falls and Mrs. H. Wilson (Eva), Merrickville, also sixteen grandchildren. Her eldest daughter, Frances, predeceased her twenty years ago. The funeral was held from her late home on Monday , June 7th, to Holy Trinity Church, Merrickville, where the service was conducted by Canon A. G. Wakelin of Kemptville, in the absence of the rector, Rev. C. N. Humphreys. During the service the vocal solo " Face to Face" was rendered by Mr. M. G. Corbett. Interment was made in the family plot in Union Cemetery, the pallbearers being Messrs. Merril and Clayton Perrin, Wilbert Beulah, J, J. Suffron, Howard O'Neill and Percy Gorman, all neighbours of the deceased.Many messages of sympathy and beautiful floral tributes were received by the bereaved family.
