    • MRS JOHN STRONG                     (obituary)
      Mrs John (Mary Josephine) Strong, 66, Quincy, died at 1:10 pm Wednesday in Mary Rutan Hospital where she had been a patient since March 6.  She had been will since Jan 3 when she suffered a stroke of paralysis.
      Born Dec 24, 1903, in Union township, the deceased was a daughter of John and Anna Reprogle McQueen.
      She was married Nov 11, 1931, to Mr Strong who survives with a son, Sgt James A Strong, stationed aat Tainan Air Force Base on Taiwan; two daughters, Mrs Acie (Viola) Hawkins and Mrs Daniel (Mary Catherine) Manning, both of Quincy; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs Nella Hatcher, RFD 1, West Liberty, and Mrs John (Anna) Walker, RFD2, DeGraff; a brother, John A McQueeen, Los Angeles, Calif., and several nieces and nephews.  A son Robert, is dead.
      Mrs Strong was a retired employee of the Stolle Corp. in Sidney.
      Funeral rites will be conducted at 2 pm Saturday at the Reeder and Son Funeral Home in Quincy, by Rev Herbert Lockwood of the Quincy United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow in DeGraff Greenwood Cemetery.
      Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 pm Friday.
