      Willis Arlington Roby died Sunday July 23, at 10:25 pm in Mary Rutan Hospital.  He was a lifelong resident of Rushsylvania and resided at 202 Stewart Street.  He was 62 years of age.
      The son of Emmet Roy and Edna May Strong Roby, he was born June 11, 1927, in Rushsylvania.
      A World War II Army veteran, Mr Roby was retired from Westinghouse Corporation in Bellefontaine where he was employeed as a motor repairman.  He was a member of the Rushsylvania Church of Christ and the Bellefontaine Post 1080, VFW.
      He married Marcella Ringler, Feb 20, 1946, in Rushsylvania.  She survives along with four sons, Douglas Mark Roby of Lewistown, and Willis Arlington Roby Jr., Michael Edward Roby, and Blayne Eugene Roby, all of Rushsylvania; and nine grandchildren.
      Other survivors include two sisters, Mary Louise Roby of Bellefontaine and LaDema Ann VanGundy of Wapakoneta; and two brothers, James Alvin Roby of Bellefontaine and Norman Eugene Roby of Bryan.
      The Rev. Gary E Swogger will officiate at funeral services Wednesday at 2 pm in the Rose Funeral Home in Rushsylvania.  Burial will be in Rushsylvania Cemetery where the VFW will conduct services.
      Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm.

      Mr and Mrs Willis (Marcella Ringler) Roby, will observe their 25th Wedding Anniversary on Saturday, Feb 20, and will entertain relatives, neighbors, and friends on Sunday at their home on Stewart Street, Rushsylvania.  Anniversary cake, ice cream and punch will be served both afternoon and evening.
      The couple was married in the parsonage of the Rushsylvania Methodist church by the pastor, Rev J G Deeds.  Mr Roby was associated for 20 years with the Westinghouse Electric plant in Bellefontaine, but is at present confined to his home by illness.  Mrs Roby is an employee of H K Porter Co., Bellefontaine.
      They are the parents of four sons, Willis Arlington Roby Jr., RFD 1, Rushsylvania, Michael Edward, Fairview Farm, RFD 1, Rushsylvania, and Douglas Mark and Blayne, at home.  They have one granddaughter.
      Mr Roby's parents were Emmett Roy and Edna Mae Strong Roby, both deceased.  He has two brothers, James Alvin Roby RFD 2, Bellefontaine, and Norman E. Roby, RFD 1, Butler, Ind., and two sisters, Mrs Warren (Ladema) VanGundy, Wapakoneta, and Miss Mary Roby, RFD 8, Defiance.
      Mrs Roby's parents are Mr and Mrs Lewis Ringler, 524 West Patterson Avenue, Bellefontaine.  She has three brothers, Douglas Ringler, 1514 Lytton Place, Dayton, Ronald Ringler, Bellefontaine, and Lewis Ringler Jr., 71 Fairfield Road, Greenwich. Conn.

      Friday will mark the 30th wedding anniversary of Mr and Mrs Willis A RobySr., Rushsylvania.  The former Marcella M Ringler and Willis A Roby exchanged wedding vows in the Rushsylvania Methodist parsonage on Feb 20, 1946.
      The couple are the parents of four sons; Willis A Roby Jr., R 1 Rushsylvania; Michael E Roby, Rushsylvania; Douglas M Roby, Lemore, California; and Blayne E Roby, at home.  They have four grandchildren.
      Mr Roby is a former Westinghouse Electric Corporation employee.  Mrs. Roby is employed at the H K Porter Company.
