ANNA HALLADAY ANDERSON, written in her 80's (very clear mind). And I quote:
"Many years ago I urged my Father to write down what he had been told of the
first Halladay coming to America and of his Grandfather coming to Ohio from
Vermont so about the year 1908 he did write.
Papa had a wonderful memory and he calls..........
One of Eli's daughters, Lucinda, married a man by the name of Goodhue.
They had 3 children: Mary Jane, James, and George Goodhue. They lived in
Albany New York for many years, her husband died there. She and her children
came to Ohio. She married a man by the name of Edwin Baker. He died of cholera
about the year 1847. The daughter, Mary Jane, married a man by the name of
Benjamine. They had four children: Everton, Fannie, Emma, and Delos. Aunt
Lucinda lived with Mary Jane and her family. They moved to Wisconsin in 1855.
They afterwards moved to Nebraska where Aunt Lucinda died at the age of
92. After Aunt Lucinda was 80 years old, she was immersed in a river in
Nebraska in the winter, thru a hole in the ice. A man watching similar
immersions commented "I would rather be converted in June than January" but it
was said no one ever took cold from immersion.
The two Goodhue sons went to California about 1850.

So ends what Clark Halladay wrote. ..Anna H. Anderson
